Safety Tips
Please exercise the standard precautions when meeting new friends and look after and take care of your friends. That's what friends are for!
Do not give out personal details, perhaps until you have met the other person and feel comfortable with them. Examples of personal information include:
- Address
- Telephone numbers
- Workplace
- Email address
- Credit card numbers
- Bank details
- Passwords
- Or any other information which could identify who you are or where you live and work.
People you meet on the website may not be who they claim to be.
If arranging to meet someone, do so in a busy place, and not too late at night, until you are satisfied about the other person’s identity. Tell your other friends where you are going and who you are about to meet.
If you feel unsure about someone, trust your instincts.
Paying Etiquette
Each person should fairly share the cost of the total bill for the Gokonnect event. Try to pay for what you order/consume as best you could.
